Here at Newark Academy we are proud of all the achievements that our young athletes accomplish in and out of school in which ever sporting arena they are in.
The School Games program runs deep into our curriculum and extra curricular provision providing Key Stage 3 students with a verity of sports and competitions at all levels and our key stage 4 students a broad and balanced curriculum . We are in an abundance of County Finals this year including Futsal, Basketball, Cricket, Netball, Tag Rugby and more.
We also have a number of embedded clubs and teams competing regularly throughout the year in all age groups.
The pinnacle of each year is our Sports Tour for both boys and girls. So far we have toured with Netball and Football. In the coming year we will be taking football teams and Netball teams to a UK based Sports Tour residential.

U15 Girls Swim Team - 4th in Region at East Midlands schools team relay Championships
U15 Girls Swim Team - County Champions
Year 9 Netball Team - Bronze medal winners at the County CVL
Cross Country - 15 students qualify for Counties
Year 8/9 Girls Basketball - District Champions and 5th in County
Equestrian Team - Team qualify for Counties and 1 individual qualified for counties
Sports Hall Athletics - District 2 place Girls, 3rd Place Boys
Year 8 Netball Team - 4th in CVL county competition
Year 7 Tag Rugby Team - County School games finalists - 7th place
Athletics - 10 students qualify for County Championships
