Paige is hitting the bullseye!

Paige Jones, (year 10) has changed an archery hobby into a serious talent. (Whole School - 29/09/2016)

After taking it up as a bit of fun in February 2015, Paige has now flown through the classification groups and is now regarded as a ‘Junior Master Bowman’.

Representing East Midlands and Nottinghamshire, Paige shoots a compound bow, more complex and harder to shoot than a regular bow, this is why she has to ensure she practices daily. As a result of her hard work Paige has won the Indoor Championship trophy and the Outdoor Junior Championship shield with her club and also the personal title of Nottinghamshire Junior Lady Compound Champion. She has even gained sponsorship from two different companies.

Her aims for the future are also high: “My long term dream is to become a member for the GB squad and have a shot at the Olympics - possibly in Tokyo 2020,” she said.
